Online Verification Stuck After Round 1 Seat Allotment : Online reporting after JoSAA Counselling Round 1 Seat Allotment is stuck because of the unavailability of the 12th marksheet of some boards.
JoSAA Counselling 2024 : JoSAA is conducting JoSAA Counseling 2024 for 59,917 seats in 121 institutions including IIT, NIT, IIIT, and other GFITs across the country. JoSAA has released the round 1 seat allotment result on June 20, 2024. Candidates can report online for round 1 seat allocation on June 24 till 5 PM but candidates are facing problems in online reporting. Two major reasons for this are, first, candidates need clarification about their eligibility of board marks for admission, due to the top 20 percentile of the respective board of 12th not being released. Candidates who have been allotted seats but don’t have 75 percent marks on the board exam are waiting for the top 20 percentile score. This year too, candidates need to secure 75 percent marks in the board exam to get admission to IIT, IIIT, and NIT or in the top 20 percentile. Internet Marksheet not Valid: The main problem is that the 12th board marksheet of the candidates has not been issued yet. Candidates have asked for the original marksheet at the time of document verification. The internet marksheet has not been recognised in the absence of the original marksheet and the admission has been put on hold. Candidates have demanded the original marksheet from the respective board so that the admission can continue. Top 20 Percentile of Some Boards Still Pending: Many big boards have not released the top-20 percentile scores for admission in NIT and IIIT across the country. Rajasthan Board, Chhattisgarh, Himachal, Haryana, Jammu, Karnataka, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Tripura, National Institute of Open School Board has not released the top 20 percentile.JoSAA Counselling 2024 Important Dates
