NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines - Prohibited Items

Before students are allowed into the exam hall, they will be checked using metal detectors. You must not carry any of the following items:

  • Textbooks, notes, printed or written papers, bits of paper, or any study material

  • Geometry box, calculator, scale, pen drive, writing pad, log table, etc.

  • Any electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth, smartwatches, cameras, or scanners

  • Wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, caps, or any metal items like jewelry

  • Food items, packed or open, and water bottles

  • Any item that can hide a small camera, microphone, or other cheating device

  • You will not be given any space to keep your belongings at the exam centre. So only carry allowed items.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines - Dress Code  

The NTA has shared a dress code to make checking easy and fair for all students. Everyone must wear light-coloured clothes with half sleeves. Full sleeves are not allowed.

  • Students must wear slippers or sandals only. Shoes are not allowed because they can be used to hide cheating tools. Clothes with big pockets, badges, or buttons are also not allowed.

  • Girls and boys should both follow the same simple dress code. If you wear something different due to your religious customs, you must inform the NTA while filling your form under the “Customary dress” option. Such students must reach the centre one hour earlier than the normal reporting time.

  • Also, the NTA uses smart technology and AI to stop cheating, so it is important to follow the rules exactly.

NEET 2025 Rules and Regulations - Items to Carry in Examination Hall

Here is a list of items you should bring with you on the NEET 2025 exam day:

  • NEET 2025 Admit Card with a passport-size photo already pasted on it.

  • One passport-size photograph to paste on the attendance sheet.

  • One postcard-size photograph that is to be attached to the proforma downloaded with the admit card.

  • Any valid photo ID proof like Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license, passport, or ration card.

  • A small bottle of hand sanitiser (50 ml).

  • A clear, transparent water bottle with no labels or stickers.

  • Slippers or sandals (no shoes).

Make sure everything you carry follows the rules. If you bring something that is not allowed, it can be taken away, and you may even be banned from the exam.
