AFBS
AFSB refers to the Air Force Selection Board. AFSB is the second round of the AFCAT SSB exam. The exam consists of a written round, followed by an interview round. All the candidates who can clear the written exam are eligible for the interview round. The interview round is known as AFSB. It is a very long round and is not like the conventional interview rounds. It is conducted within five days. During these five days, the candidates must appear for several mental, physical and intellectual tasks. On the last day, a formal interview round is conducted. The selection depends on the collected performance of the candidate in all these rounds. All those candidates who apply for the NCC unique entry and meteorology branch are directly called for the AFSB round. There are a lot of AFSB centres across the country. You can contact any of these AFSB centres for the interview. The AFSB centres are located in Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar and Mysore. To be selected for the Air Force, you must prove your worth to the Indian Air Force. Only the best of the best individuals can make it to the end. Candidates who will be flying have to go for the CPSS and PABT tests. The medical exam is not conducted directly after the interview round. Candidates have to appear for the medical test clearing the AFSB test. If you have any questions, you're free to ask them from the interview board.

Stages of the Selection

The AFSB test is divided into different stages. In stage one, the officers have to appear for the officer intelligence written test. Following this test, the candidates have to appear for the picture perception and discussion test. Stage one is a screening test. Only the candidates who were able to qualify the stage one or were eligible to undergo the stage two testing. The results for stage one are declared just after the round, and all those candidates who cannot make it to the next game are sent back. The stage two test is more complex than the stage one testing. It consists of psychological tests and data crafted by qualified psychologists. It also consists of interactive group tests, including indoor and outdoor activities. These activities are a combination of both mental and physical work. The interview round, conducted in the end, will consist of a personal conversation with the Interviewer on board. All those candidates who have applied for the flying positions have to undergo a separate test called the computerised pilot selection system test. After clearing all the stages, candidates must undergo a medical test. This medical test is not done just after the completion of the steps. The AFSB will allot a date for your medical testing at the Air Force, Central Medical Establishment, New Delhi, or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bangalore.

Physical Fitness Requirements

As a candidate, who wants to become a part of the Air Force, you must be physically fit. You will undergo various physical fitness tests during your rounds at AFSB. This is why you must prepare yourself in advance. You should at least be able to run 1 mile in 10 minutes. Make sure that you can do push-ups as well as chin-ups. Try not to have any tattoos on your body. Candidates can only have tattoos on the interface of the form and palm. Permanent tattoos are not allowed on any other parts of the body. Tribes that have some religious or spiritual connection to tattoos or exempted from this requirement. Also, the use of narcotics is not allowed in the Air Force. During the medical check-up, the candidates are checked for the presence of any drugs. If you are found guilty of consuming narcotics, you will be banned from joining AirForce. If you're already a part of the Air Force and are found guilty of consuming drugs, then you will be terminated from the service. [wp-faq-schema title=" Full Form of AFSB FAQs" accordion=1]
