AWES
AWES stands for Army Welfare Education Society. This society considers the importance of education for soldiers' families. To make education more affordable, AWES came into effect. AWES looks after the functioning of all the army schools in the country. AWES conducts the annual recruitment of teachers for army schools. Also, the Army Welfare Education Society is affiliated with the CBSE. To emphasise, it means that the curriculum followed in all the army schools is similar to that of the regular CBSE schools. The purpose of AWES is to make sure that every student from an army background gets a quality education. Soldiers keep moving from one place to another. Due to constant transfers, their children face problems with their education. Moreover, army schools ensure soldiers and their families have a comfortable transfer experience. The regular transfer should not affect the education of children. This is the reason why army schools are a part of the country. Children of soldiers, officers and junior commissioned officers can become a part of the army schools.
