About Bengaluru Metro
Bengaluru Metro, also referred to as Namma Metro ("Our Metro" in Kannada), is a rapid transport system that serves the city of Bengaluru. After Hyderabad Metro and Delhi Metro, it is India's third-largest operating metro network. The organisation responsible for constructing, running, and growing the Namma Metro network is Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the State Government of Karnataka.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which had successfully built the Delhi Metro, was given a commission by the Government of Karnataka in 2003 to do a thorough feasibility assessment for a metro in Bangalore, replicating the technical and financial facets of the strategy employed in Delhi.
