Full Form of CPCT

A full form of CPCT is “Computer Proficiency Certification Test”. In the state, CPCT has been used to examine candidates' computer proficiency and typing skills for government positions. The computer-based online examination examines competencies through the use of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and a typing test (English & Hindi Typing). The candidate has to register online on the portal with candidate data and qualification details that also apply to the exam date available on the portal. Hence, candidates can select their preferred exam venue from any 3 city preferences. The application fee for CPCT exam is 600/- only.

Eligibility Criteria

Before giving the computer Proficiency Certification Test candidate should check the eligibility criteria

• The first and foremost requirement is that the applicant must be a citizen of India with any identity proof
• To get admitted, the candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or any comparable test from a recognised board.
• Candidates who have finished the Polytechnic diploma programme from a recognised university following the SSC test are also eligible to apply for the admission procedure.
• The applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
• An eligible applicant may apply and appear for the CPCT many times in order to enhance his or her score/performance, if any.
• There is no age limit for candidates.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Below are the exam pattern and syllabus for the CPCT.

Exam Pattern

Under CPCT, candidates must complete two types of sections: multiple choice questions (MCQ) and typing exams (English & Hindi). Both of these parts must be attempted by the applicant.

• There are a total of 75 questions from the curriculum that may be found on the CPCT Portal.
• The overall MCQ duration of the paper is 75 minutes.
• Candidates need to choose the typing section as per their respective language.
• The duration of English typing is 15 minutes and the mock test is 5 minutes.
• The duration of Hindi typing is 15 minutes and the mock test is 5 minutes.
• The test lasts 150 minutes in total.

Syllabus

The syllabus for CPCT is given below:

• Proficiency in general IT skills, such as Networking Email and so on.
• Mathematical/ Reasoning and General Awareness.
• Comprehension skills.
• Familiarity with Computer Hardware and Software.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Operations.
• Typing skills in English and Hindi language.
