
'Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana' KVPY is a program established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in 1999 to encourage basic science students to pursue research careers in the natural sciences. This program aims to identify talented and motivated students and encourage them to pursue careers in research.
The program aims to help students reach their potential and ensure that the country's best scientific research and development talent is trained. Selected KVPY Scholars have access to generous scholarships and emergency grants through the pre-doctoral level. Level or 5 years, whichever comes first. Advertisements for KVPY grants generally appear in all national newspapers on May 11 (Technology Day) and the second Sunday in July each year.
The student is selected from those students who, by their 1st year of the Undergraduate Program in Basic Science, she is studying in the XI standard, i.e. B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. Based on their performance on the aptitude test, the shortlisted students will be invited for an interview, and the selection process will be completed. Performance in both the aptitude test and the interview will be considered in awarding the scholarship.
Generous scholarships are offered up to Pre-Ph.D. Level up KVPY Fellow of choice.
