PO Roles and Responsibilities

A Bank P.O.'s primary responsibilities include handling public affairs, client complaints, and problem-solving for customer satisfaction.

Administrative Assistant: 

Most administrative assistant roles handle and transmit information within an office.  It typically entails answering phones, taking notes, and storing financial documents in a bank. Administrative assistants may be capable of sending correspondence as well as addressing customers.

Bank Clerk: 

A bank clerk is an entry-level position in the banking industry. He or she is in charge of processing customer transactions and responding to visitor inquiries. 

A bank clerk directs customers to bank personnel and confirms the personal and financial information of people who have a bank account or are applying for one in a specific branch. His or her role necessitates the assistance of cash management tasks.

Insurance Analyst: 

Working as an insurance analyst is one of the most rewarding jobs in the banking industry. An insurance analyst is responsible for assessing numerous insurance policies and evaluating associated risks for the insurance company and policyholders.

Credit managers: 

Credit managers, also known as loan officers, assist individuals in managing the procedure for obtaining loans from a financial institution. He or she is also concerned with devising a payment plan for borrowers who have fallen on hard times.

Insurance Officer: 

Insurance officers review insurance claims to determine whether or not they are compensable and how much compensation is warranted. They typically work for several insurance companies, from car to medical insurance.

What is the salary of a bank P.O.?

The starting salary for IBPS PO is Rs 23700/-. Aside from that, there are allowances for medical expenses, travel, house rent, etc. As employees continue to work for the bank, various increments are added to their IBPS PO salary.

What does a bank P.O. do?

They will be in charge of managerial duties such as supervising the branch office's clerical staff. Further, A bank P.O. will also manage cash flow, finances, loans, and mortgages. They will be in charge of handling loan documents as well (if required).

Is the bank P.O. exam difficult?

The IBPS PO exam is one of the most competitive examinations for P.O. recruitment in various national banks. Bank examinations, such as IBPS PO, are not easy to pass. Also, the number of applicants who pass the IBPS PO exam is significantly lower than the number of candidates who fail.
