Eligibility Criteria

Before giving the General Duty Exam candidate should check the eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates must have the required educational requirement as of August 1, 2022, which is a 10th-class pass from a recognized Board/University, before applying for the General Duty post.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India along with identity proof like an adhar card or something also Candidates who have migrated must present their domicile/ PRC against their state/ UT.
  • Candidates for the SSC GD test 2022 must be between the ages of 18 and 23 as of August 1, 2022, which means they must have been born between August 2nd, 1998 and August 1st, 2003.
  • The upper age relaxation for SC and ST has been for 5 years, for OBC of 3 years, for children and dependents of those slain in the 1984 riots or the 2002 Gujarat communal riots (Unreserved) 5 years, for children and dependents of those slain in the 1984 riots or the 2002 Gujarat communal riots (OBC) of 8 years, for children and dependents of those slain in the 1984 riots or the 2002 Gujarat communal riots (SC/ ST) of 10 years and for Candidates who were usual residents in the state of Jammu and Kashmir between January 1, 1980, and December 31, 1989, of 5 years.

General Duty Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Exam Pattern The commission determines the SSC GD Exam pattern. Candidates who want to take the SSC GD Constable exam in 2022 must be familiar with the test format. The SSC GD test format is broken into four stages:
  1. Physical Efficiency Exam (PET): This test evaluates the candidate's physical fitness based on height factors, and he or she must participate in a PET (race) followed by a biometric/technology-aided identification test.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): This test assesses candidates' physical standards based on three factors: height, chest size, and weight.
  3. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Finalist applicants who clear the PET and PST are expected to undergo a rigorous medical assessment and are medically reviewed by Medical Boards formed by the CAPFs to determine their physical and medical fitness.
  4. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): It's an online test with four sections that comprise objective-type questions and multiple-choice questions. General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/ Hindi are all required.
Syllabus The syllabus for General Duty is given below:
  1. English and Hindi section consist of 25 questions.
  2. Elementary Mathematics section consist of 25 questions.
  3. General Knowledge and General Awareness consist of 25 questions.
  4. General Intelligence and reasoning consist of 25 questions.
