GPSSB is short for Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board.
About GPSSB
The Gujarat Panchayat Service Board (GPSSB) was established under Section 235 of the Gujarat Panchayat Act, 1935. The board consists of five members, which includes the chairman.
The duty of the GPSSB is to select eligible candidates for recruitment in the panchayat service to class III posts. The role of these candidates is to advise the panchayat in matters prescribed by the rules.
Functions of the Gujarat Panchayat Service Board
The Gujarat Panchayat Service Board conducts a departmental exam of the Panchayat Service for class III posts in both Hindi and Gujarati. In addition to that, the board provides advice to the panchayat regarding disciplinary action against the class III employees according to the proposal of the district panchayat.

To apply for the specified post, the candidates must go to the official OJAS website.

- Select GPSSB as the department along with the post you want to apply for.
- Then click on "apply now" and proceed to the tab that says "new registration."
- It is important to go through all the instructions first, then click "I agree" to proceed.
- Enter all of your personal information and any other information that is required.
- Upload your picture in this format: 5 cm x 3.6 cm.
- The file should not exceed 15 kb.
- The signature’s size should be 2.5 cm x 7.5 cm.

Qualification:
- The candidate will need a bachelor’s degree in the following areas:
- Business Administration
- Commerce
- Science (Mathematics or Statistics)
- Arts (Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics)

Exam Pattern
The candidates are selected based on their performance in the GPSSB exam.
The exam is a multiple-choice paper, i.e., objective in nature, and for every correct answer, 1 point or mark is awarded.
