Indian Economic Services and Indian Statistical Services are abbreviated as IES ISS. To hire officers and professionals for a variety of positions in the department, the Union Public Service Commission holds examinations in centres across India. To get selected, candidates must pass a written test before moving on to an interview.

There are differences in the syllabus, educational requirements, and exam format. They are marginally different from one another. While the Indian Economic Services demands varied educational credentials, the Indian Statistical Services has different requirements.

Eligibility Criteria to Appear for the Exam

Nationality

The Indian Economic Services and Indian Statistical Services accept applications from all Indian citizens, as well as subjects of Nepal and Bhutan.

Age requirement

Candidates should be between the ages of 21 and 30 if they are looking for positions with the Indian Economic Services and Indian Statistical Services. Applicants from SC/ST will receive a five-year age reduction, while candidates from OBC will receive a three-year reduction.   4. Click on the link, enter your information, and register.
  5. The candidate must obtain their registered ID and password after registration.

Application form

The applicant must complete the application at this stage by providing all necessary information. Below is a step-by-step explanation on how to complete the application form.

  1. The candidate must go to the Union Public Service Commission's official website.
  2. Enter your login information by clicking the Login page.
  3. The applicant must now fill out the required information, such as their name, educational background, preferred testing location, scanned image of their photo ID card, etc.
  4. After paying the application fee of Rs. 200 using online banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI, candidates can submit their application forms.

Admit Card Details

A week or two before the test and roughly one month after the application deadline, the admit cards are often made available. A copy of the candidates' admit cards must be brought to the testing locations. Below is a complete process for downloading admissions cards.

  1. The candidate must go to the Union Public Service Commission's official website.
  2. The candidate must log in using their credentials after clicking the "download admit card" link.
  3. The applicant can download their hall tickets after registering.

ISS 2023 Results

Traditionally, a few days after the exams, the outcomes for the Indian Statistical Services are announced. On the Union Public Service Commission's official site, contestants can view their scores. A PDF of the IES ISS reports will be made available.
