The full form of JGGLCCE is the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination.

JGGLCCE is an examination conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission for various posts. This exam is conducted every year for various posts in different Jharkhand governments. The exam tests the candidate's knowledge of subjects. The main objective is to select the candidates for Group B and Group C posts in the state government.

Additionally, the purpose of this exam is to identify candidates who have the required knowledge and skills for the required post. By this exam, the Jharkhand government can ensure that only the most qualified candidates are appointed for the job.

Exam Pattern JGGLCCE

The exam pattern for JGGLCCE consists of two phases:

Preliminary Examination

The preliminary examination is an objective type of test. It consists of 120 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. Additionally, the exam is for 360 marks. It generally covers the following subjects:

  • Quantitative aptitude

Mains Examination

The main exam consists of three papers. All three papers are subjective-type tests. The duration for each paper is of 2 hours.

Furthermore, there are three papers in the main exam. And, one paper is a language paper. It generally covers the questions from the following subjects:

  • General Knowledge

Selection Process for the JGGLCCE Exam

The JGGLCCE selection process consists of two steps:

Written Exams

The written examination consists of Prelims and Mains. Candidates need to clear Prelims to be eligible for the Main examination.

Results

Based on the performance in both papers, the result is calculated. If the candidate clears the cut-off, then they can clear the exam.

Number of Attempts JGGLCCE

The JGGLCCE examination does not have any maximum attempts. Hence, candidates can appear for the examination at any number of times.

However, as long as the candidate meets the eligibility criteria, they can apply for the exam until they reach the age limit.

Payscale JGGLCCE

The JGGLCCE salary varies from post to post. Candidates selected are paid according to the pay matrix from post to post. There is various post in the JGGLCCE category. It includes the Planning Assistant, Block Supply Officer, Assistant Branch officer, and others. Generally, the salary ranges from 20000 to 40000. But the gross salary may be two times more than the basic salary when calculated in the total.

Additionally, the officers are also offered various allowances on travel, medical, and retirement.

However, it is important to note that the pay scale may be revised by the government from time to time Hence, candidates are advised to check the official websites for the latest pay scale.

How to Apply for JGGLCCE Exam

Below are the steps for applying for the JGGLCCE exam:

  • Visit the official website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
  • Select the “ Important links” in the navigation links.
  • Click the option Application Forms and select the online application for JGGLCCE.
  • Click on the option “Apply now” in the Actions column.
  • Register yourself if you are a new user. After registration select the login option.
  • Fill in all the details as per asked. However, make sure all the details are correct.
  • Finally, submit the form and pay the fee.

In addition, pay the application fee through any available online mode and take a printout of the confirmation page.

JGGLCCE Fee How Much Does the Exam Cost?

The JGGLCCE exam has a reasonable examination fee. Candidates in the General Category and OBC must pay a one-time application fee of Rs. 1000/-.

However, there is no fee for the female category candidates and the SC/ST candidates.

In addition, the application fee for the SC/ST is Rs. 250/-. 

JGGLCCE Exam Required Documents

Every candidate must have the following documents when appearing for the JGGLCCE exam:

  • An identification card like an Adhar card, pan card, or driving license.
  • Every candidate must be having the application number if it is not the first time.
  • All the academic certifications like School board, and college certificates.
