PSSSB

The Punjab Subordinate Selection Service Board (PSSSB) was established as a governmental agency in 1981. Every year, the PSSSB Clerk Exam is held by the examining board to choose applicants for clerical positions in the different offices of the Punjab Government.

The Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board has published the notification for the hiring of Firemen and Driver/Operator Vacancies (PSSSB). If potential applicants are interested in the position's responsibilities and satisfy all eligibility conditions, they can read the announcement and submit an online application.

The PSSSB test is held to fill a variety of group 3 and 4 positions in several ministries within the Punjabi government.

PSSSB Eligibility

Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions, which are listed in the PSSSB eligible criteria notice pdf, and include their age and educational qualifications. The applicant must ensure they fulfill the prerequisites outlined below. Candidates must fulfill prerequisites such as having passed the eighth or tenth grade and possessing an HMV driver's license.

Conditions that Might Disqualify a Candidate

The applicants will be disqualified for the preliminary competitive examination if they meet the requirements listed below, among others:

  • Incomplete examination fees
  • Exam fees are deposited at any State Bank of Patiala branch using a method other than a bank challan.
  • Information on the application form was incorrect or lacking.
  • Candidates who were disqualified for whatever reason by the PPSC or other Public Service Commissions, according to the board.
  • failure to meet any of the qualifying requirements, such as those relating to age and education.

Age Limit

  • Candidates for the General Category must be at least 18 years old and not older than 37.
  • For candidates from the State of Punjab's Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, the maximum age to apply is 42.
  • Employees of the State and the Federal Government will be exempt for up to 45 years.
  • The maximum age for widows, divorcees and some other categories of married women will be lower than 40 years, according to recommendations published by the Punjab government.

PSSSB Exam Pattern

The nine areas of the PSSSB Clerk test include general knowledge, mental ability, math, accounting, English, computer/IT, Punjabi language, culture, and agriculture. The following are the PSSSB Clerk exam's essential concepts:

  • There will be 120 MCQs in total.
  • Each inquiry receives one mark.
  • Each incorrect answer will have a 0.25 mark deduction.
  • There will be a maximum time limit of 120 minutes.
  • The paper will be in both English and Punjabi.

Selection Process

Candidates who are registering for the PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2022 test for the first time must be familiar with the PSSSB Selection procedure. There are two steps to the PSSSB selection process:

  • Typing Test 
  • Written Test

The PSSSB Written exam carries 100 points. To pass the typing test, students must pass this examination. The typing exam evaluates the candidates' typing speed.

How to Download PSSSB Admit Card

In order to appear for the written exam for the Punjab Clerk, candidates must bring their admission cards to the testing place. If candidates don't have the necessary paperwork, they will not be allowed to take the written test. Therefore, candidates must receive their PSSSB Admit Card from the organization as soon as it becomes available.

  • First, go to sssb.punjab.gov.in to access the PSSSB website.
  • You must now visit the "Recruitments" area.
  • You may apply for the Clerk Recruitment here.
  • then select Login from the menu on the following page.
  • Enter the candidate's application ID and password at this point.
  • You will now see details about your online application as well as a link to your PSSSB Clerk Admit Card for the relevant year.
  • By clicking the link, you may download the file to your computer or smartphone.
  • Once you've downloaded it, print it off and bring it with you to the testing facility.
