Full Form of RO Exam

The full form of RO is Review Officer. The Uttar Pradesh Public Commission for the position of Review Officer holds the RO  exam. The Uttar Pradesh Public Commission undertakes the organisation and completion of this examination. The notification for this exam is released on the website for the jobs of RO/ARO or Samiksha Adhikari/ Sahayak Samiksha Adhikari. All those candidates who can clear this exam get the position of review officer in the state of Uttar Pradesh. To be eligible for this examination, you must have a graduation degree. All candidates between the ages of 21 to 40 are eligible to appear for this exam. There is some age relaxation for the candidates from SC, ST, and OBC communities.

The exam consists of two levels. The first level is the prelims exam which is conducted in December. The candidates could clear the prelims exam and then appear for the mains exam in April. All the candidates also have to undergo a computer typing test, generally organised in October. It is only after clearing. At all these levels, candidates can join the job.

UPPSC RO Highlights

The Uttar Pradesh Public Commission conducts the UPPSC RO exam. The exam is conducted online. The candidates must appear for the prelims exam followed by the means exam. Every candidate must also complete a computer typing test to be selected for the job. For the year 2021, there were 337 vacancies for candidates. Notification for this exam was out in March 2021. Candidates had the opportunity to fill out the application form till the seventh of April 2022.

UPPSC RO Application Form

The UPPSC RO application was out last time on the fifth of March 2021. Since then, there has been no release of the application form for the post of RO by the Uttar Pradesh government. To fill out the application form, candidates had to go to the official website and fill out the form online. After going to the official website, you will find a portal for the online application of UPPSC RO. You can go there and fill in your details. Make sure that you double-check the information that you have filled in the form. You can then submit your application form after paying the application fee. This will complete your registration process. You must also upload your signature and photograph in the application form. You will have to upload your passport-size image. You can scan it using a scanning app on your mobile phone or laptop. You will also need to upload your digital signature, which should be less than 50 KB.

UPPSC RO Eligibility

To be eligible for the UPPSC RO exam, a candidate must have a graduate degree. All candidates between 21 to 40 years of age can apply for this examination. There is a five-year age relaxation for people from SC and ST categories. But these candidates must be residents of Uttar Pradesh. There is a 15-year age relaxation for people from the PWD category but they must be residents of Uttar Pradesh only. Ex-army officers, in short, commissioned officers, also have an age relaxation of five years for the RO exam.
