South East Central Railway is the full name of the SECR. One of India's 19 railway zones is the South East Central Railway. The Bilaspur, Nagpur, and Raipur Divisions make up the Zone Office, which has its administrative headquarters in Bilaspur. Eligibility Criteria 2023
- Applicants must hold a Matriculation degree (also known as a 10th-class diploma under the 10+2 examination system) from an accredited board and have earned an ITI Pass certificate from the NCVT or SCVT in the trade in which they will complete their apprenticeship.
- The minimum age to apply for south east central railway is 15 years and the maximum age is 24.
- There is also relaxation for reserved category, SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ OBS.
- For SC/ST candidates, the upper age restriction may be lowered by five years, for OBC candidates by three years, and for those with physical disabilities by ten years.
Selection Process
- All applicants who apply in response to the notification in their respective trades will be considered for selection based on a merit list that has been created (by trade).
- A minimum of 50% (aggregate) of the marks earned in matriculation will be used to compile the merit list for each trade. The percentage of matriculation will be determined based on the candidates' overall grade point average, not just their performance in a single subject or combination of courses.
- Candidates who have been shortlisted and subsequently enrolled in their respective trades will be contacted for document verification.
