Super TET Exam

The Super TET exam, also known as the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET), is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). And this exam is designed to test the eligibility of candidates who aspire to become permanent teachers in primary and upper primary schools at government schools of Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility for Super TET Exam

Nationality: The aspirant must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification:

For Paper 1: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university and must have completed or appeared in the previous year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

For Paper 2: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university and must have completed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Age Limit: No age limit is applicable for the Super TET exam.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in the Super TET exam to be considered eligible.

Exam Pattern for Super TET Exam

The exam pattern for the Super TET (UPTET) exam is as follows:

The Super TET exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes I to V, and Paper 2 is for those who wish to teach classes VI to VIII. Candidates can also appear for both papers.

Both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions 

Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.

The Super TET exam lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes).

The language of the question paper will be Hindi and English.

The distribution of marks and questions in both papers is as follows:

Paper 1: Child development and pedagogy (30 marks), Language I (30 marks), Language II (30 marks), Mathematics (30 marks), and Environmental Studies (30 marks).

Paper 2: Mathematics and Science (60 marks), Language I (30 marks), Language II (30 marks), Child development and pedagogy (30 marks), or Social Studies/Social Science (60 marks).

To qualify for the Super TET exam, candidates must score at least 60% marks.

Candidates who qualify for the exam are eligible to apply for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Language II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit): Comprehension-based questions and concepts of language teaching, learning, and acquisition.

Mathematics: Content, Pedagogical issues and concepts of Mathematics, Numbers, Algebra, Geometry, Menstruation, Data Handling, and Patterns.

Environmental Studies: Content, Pedagogical issues, and concepts of Environmental Studies, Family and Friends, Food, Shelter, Water, Travel, and Things We Make and Do.

Paper 2:

Child Development and Pedagogy: Child Development (Elementary School Child), Learning, and Pedagogy, Concept of Inclusive Education and Understanding Children with special needs.

Language I (Hindi): Comprehension-based questions and concept of language teaching, learning, and acquisition.

Language II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit): Comprehension-based questions and concepts of language teaching, learning, and acquisition.

Mathematics and Science: Mathematics and Science syllabus of class VI-VIII, Content, Pedagogical issues, and concepts of Mathematics and Science.

Social Studies/Social Science: Social Science syllabus of class VI-VIII, Content, Pedagogical issues, and concepts of Social Studies/Social Science.
