BARC recruiting through GATE 2024 will offer suitable applicants the opportunity to apply for the following two programs: 1. Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates, or OCES-2023: This program is for the duration of one year and is held at five BARC Training Schools located in Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore, and Hyderabad. 2. DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates, or DGFS-2023: This is a two-year program tailored for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates who have excelled in the selection interviews for the BARC Training Schools' programs. Additionally, they have secured admission on their own for M. Tech. or M. Chem. Engg. in designated institutes and specializations. BARC Recruitment Through GATE 2023 Selection Process
Applicants will be initially shortlisted based on their performance in the GATE 2022 or GATE 2023 examinations. Following that, they will proceed to a personal interview.- During the interview, applicants are required to bring all their original documents along with copies.
- Selection interviews for shortlisted applicants will take place in Mumbai for all disciplines except Geology and Geophysics and in Hyderabad for Geology and Geophysics.
- Outstation applicants will receive reimbursement for two-way second-class sleeper train fares, starting from their registered residential address, via the shortest route or actual fare, whichever is lower.
- Applicants who successfully clear the interview will be designated as "Scientific Officers."
- Applicants will be provided with the option to select their interview slots by logging in.
BARC Recruitment Through GATE 2023 Salary
Applicants selected for appointment in any of the units through BARC Recruitment Through GATE 2023 will be designated as Scientific Officer 'C' (SO/C) and placed in Level 10 with a salary of INR 56,100 per month (approximately) according to the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.- Upon appointment, applicants selected through the OCES and DGFS programs will begin at the initial pay scale. OCES Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) may receive two or three increments based on their performance during the OCES program, while DGFS Fellows may receive three or four increments based on their performance in M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. and the four-month Orientation Course for DGFS Fellows (OCDF).
- At the time of joining, the monthly emoluments, which include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance at the current Mumbai rate, will be around 1,05,000 (with three increments).
- In addition, applicants will be entitled to additional benefits such as Leave Travel Concession by Air every year for the first eight years (subject to conditions) and once every two years after that. They are also entitled to Children's Education Allowance and Professional Development Allowance.
