Admission to 23 IITs will be provided on 17385 seats
(including supernumerary seats) this year, along with 23954 seats from NITs, 7746 seats from IIIT, and 8067 seats from GFTI. In contrast, admission was offered to 16598 IIT seats, 23994 NIT seats, 7126 IIIT seats, and 6759 GFTI seats last year. In other words, there are now 787 more IIT seats, 620 more IIIT seats, and 1308 more GFTI seats this year. In total, 2675 seats are more this year.
