JEE Advanced 2025 Admission Criteria For IIT: The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are among the most prestigious institutions for engineering in India. JEE Advanced 2025 is the upcoming entrance exam for admission to undergraduate courses like BTech, integrated MTech, and dual degree programs at 23 IITs across the country. As per the latest IIT admission criteria, students need to have appeared in the Class 12 board exams with a minimum of five subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language subject, and one additional subject. To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025, students must meet several important requirements, which apply to both Indian nationals and OCI/PIO aspirants. Here’s an overview of the eligibility requirements:
In addition to the previously mentioned eligibility criteria, there are some important updates related to earlier admission at IITs. Applicants who have been previously admitted to an IIT under any academic program listed in the JoSAA Business Rules of 2024 are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025 .
This applies even if an applicant did not continue the program or withdrew after reporting to the IIT. If an applicant's admission was cancelled after joining an IIT, they are also ineligible. However, applicants who were admitted to a preparatory course in 2024 or those who were allocated a seat in IITs but did not report or withdrew before the final round of seat allotment are eligible.
The registration for JEE Advanced 2025 will begin on April 23, 2025, and will remain open until May 2, 2025. Aspirants interested in appearing for the exam should ensure they complete their online application within this period. Moreover, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held on May 18, 2025, in two sessions.
After the exam, the recorded response sheets will be released on May 22, 2025. Provisional answer keys will be made available on May 26, 2025, and applicants will have the opportunity to raise objections on these answer keys from May 26 to May 27, 2025. Finally, the official answer keys and the exam results will be announced on June 2, 2025. It is important to note that these dates are tentative, and IIT Kanpur reserves the right to update them anytime.
