NTA has specific requirements regarding the category certificate for candidates who apply under the reserved categories (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, and ST), Here is the list of documents required for registration under reserved categories:
You are generally not required to upload the category certificate at the time of online registration. However, one must have a valid, updated, and authentic OBC-NCL Non-Creamy Layer or EWS Economically Weaker Section certificate ready in the NTA-prescribed format. Candidates need to enter the correct certificate number, date of issue, and the name of the issuing authority in the application form. The certificate must be valid for the academic year 2026.
Similar to OBC-NCL and EWS, you must enter the certificate details in the application form, and the certificate must be ready and valid for subsequent document verification during counselling.
If you are claiming a Person with Disability status, you need to upload a clear scanned copy of your UDID Card or Disability Certificate in the prescribed PDF format.
Carry the JEE Main Admit Card, one original government ID, two to three passport photos, PwD certificate if applicable, and the COVID-19 self-declaration printed with the admit card.

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card: A printed copy of the Admit Card downloaded from the official NTA website.
Passport-size Photograph: Two to three additional copies of the same passport-size photograph used in the online application form. This is for pasting on the attendance sheet.
Valid Photo ID Proof: An original, valid, and non-expired Government Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License).
