Eligibility Criteria for the JIPMAT 2027 Exam

Before you apply for the JIPMAT 2027 Exam, check if you meet the eligibility conditions. Based on the pattern of the previous cycle, here are the points you should keep in mind:

  • You should have passed your 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts, commerce, or science stream, or an equivalent exam.

  • You should have passed this exam in the year 2025 or 2026, or you should be appearing in 2027.

  • You must have passed your Class 10th examination not before 2023.

  • IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu may set slightly different eligibility requirements. It is a good idea to check the official websites of both institutes as well.

  • The percentage of marks in your 10th and 12th standard will be calculated as per your board's regulations.

  • If your board does not have a fixed method for aggregate marks, then marks of all subjects in your grade sheet will be considered.

The exam duration is 150 minutes, or two and a half hours. You will get 4 marks for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.

Syllabus for the JIPMAT 2027 Exam

The syllabus of the JIPMAT 2027 Exam is divided into three parts:

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Covers concepts up to Class 10 Mathematics.

  • Data Interpretation: Checks your ability to read and understand data sets.

How to Apply for JIPMAT for IIM

If you want to apply for JIPMAT for IIM, you need to follow a simple online process. There is no offline mode of application. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Register on the official JIPMAT website and note your Application Number.

  2. Log in and fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and choice of exam cities.

  3. Upload your photograph, signature, and other required documents.

  4. Pay the application fee online.

  5. Download and save the Confirmation Page for future reference.

You should fill the form carefully, since NTA does not entertain correction requests sent through post, email, or WhatsApp. Only certain fields can be corrected during the correction window, which is usually opened for a few days after the registration closes.

Documents Required for JIPMAT 2027 Application 

While filling the form for the JIPMAT 2027 Exam, keep these documents ready in scanned format:

  • Passport-size photograph with 80% face visibility, in JPG/JPEG format

  • Signature in JPG/JPEG format

  • Disability or UDID certificate, if applicable, in PDF format

  • Identity proof, if you are not verifying through Aadhaar or DigiLocker

JIPMAT 2027 Exam Centres 

While applying for the JIPMAT 2027 Exam, you can select up to four cities of your choice for the exam centre. Your choice of cities is usually limited to your state of permanent address or present address. NTA makes an effort to allot a centre from your chosen cities, but it reserves the right to allot a different city due to administrative reasons.

Documents Required on JIPMAT 2027 Exam Day 

On the day of the JIPMAT 2027 Exam, you must carry a few important documents:

  • Printed Admit Card along with the Self Declaration (Undertaking) form

  • A passport-size photograph, the same one uploaded on the application form

  • A valid photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport

  • Disability certificate, if you are applying under the PwD/PwBD category

  • A simple transparent ballpoint pen

You are not allowed to carry items like mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or any printed material inside the exam hall.

JIPMAT 2027 Reservation Policy 

  • Students belonging to categories such as OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS, SC, ST, and PwD/PwBD are given seats as per the reservation rules set by the Government of India.

  • If you belong to any of these categories, you will need to produce the original certificate at the time of admission.

  • OCI candidates who registered for OCI/PIO before 4 March 2021 will be considered for seats allocated to Indian citizens, under the General category only.
