Punjab Judiciary 2024 Selection Process
The Punjab Judicial Service Selection Process 2024 includes three stages namely, prelims, mains, and interview rounds. The written tests (prelims and mains) are pen and paper-based exams held at the allotted centers. The prelims is an objective paper consisting of multiple-choice questions based on law and current affairs. The exam is worth 500 marks with negative marking of 0.20 marks and +4 for each correct answer. Candidates have to score more than the cutoff marks to qualify for the mains examination.
The Punjab Judiciary mains examination is completely subjective, consisting of descriptive questions on core law subjects. The exam consists of 5 papers After clearing the mains examination, candidates are invited for the interview rounds. In the viva voce, candidates are evaluated on their personalities, communication skills, knowledge of legal concepts, and suitability for the role. For the final merit list, the marks obtained in mains and interview rounds are calculated together.
Punjab Judiciary 2024 Syllabus
The Punjab Judiciary selection process includes three stages namely, prelims, mains, and interview rounds. The prelims is an objective paper with MCQs based on law topics and current affairs. The Punjab Judiciary mains syllabus includes topics such as Commercial Law, Hindi Law & Muhammadan Law, Law of Trusts, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Specific Relief Law of Contracts & Torts, and Law of Transfer of Property. There will be a language-based paper also which includes translation from English to Punjabi language and vice versa.
The Punjab Judiciary Admit Card 2024 will be issued by the PPSC a few weeks prior to the exam. It is an essential document that contains essential details such as the roll number and registration number of the candidate, details regarding the exam center, exam date and time, and exam day instructions. Candidates have to carry their admit cards on the exam day accompanied by a government-issued identity card.
