A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognised Indian university.
Candidates with degrees from certain international universities such as Punjab (Undivided), Dacca, Tribhuwan (Nepal), Sind, Rangoon or Mandalay, or who are Barristers from England/Ireland or members of the Faculty of Advocates (Scotland) are also eligible.
Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric or its equivalent is mandatory.
Must be an Indian citizen or belong to select permissible foreign nationalities with intent to settle in India (including Nepalese, Bhutanese, and Tibetan refugees before 1962).
