Eligibility for West Bengal Judiciary Vacancy 2025

To apply for the West Bengal vacancy 2025, you must:

  • Have a law degree from a recognised university.

  • Be registered as a lawyer under the Advocates Act, 1961.

  • Be able to read, write and speak Bengali (this rule does not apply if you are a Nepali-speaking person from certain hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong).

  • Be 23 to 35 years old on the cut-off date. Some categories get extra age relaxation:

    • SC/ST: +5 years

    • OBC-A/OBC-B: +3 years

    • PwBD: +10 years

  • Be an Indian citizen.

  • Be in good health and have no serious criminal record.
