AIBE 18 Result 2023 Normalization of Marks

AIBE 18 uses a process called "Normalization of Marks" by the Bar Council of India to ensure fair treatment for all candidates in the All India Bar Examination Result. This is because the difficulty level of exams held in different slots can vary. To give every candidate an equal chance, BCI adjusts the raw marks obtained by candidates in the AIBE 18 exam through a normalization process. There are two types of marks involved in this process:

Raw Scores:

  • These are the actual marks scored by candidates in the AIBE 18 exam.

Normalized Scores:

  • These are the adjusted scores of the candidates, accounting for the difficulty level of the specific slot they appeared in. For instance, if a slot is found to be relatively easier, the normalized scores of candidates in that slot will be less than their actual marks. Similarly, if a slot is considered comparatively difficult, the normalized scores of candidates will be higher than their actual marks in the exam.

AIBE 18 Result 2023 Cutoff

According to the new notification, the passing marks for general category and OBC candidates are 45%, while for SC/ST candidates, it's 40%. In the final revised answer key, some questions may be removed, potentially changing the AIBE 18 cutoff due to a reduction in the number of questions.
