AILET 2025 Syllabus, Section-Wise Syllabus of BA LLB

AILET 2025 Syllabus: The AILET 2025 syllabus includes topics related to the three sections namely, English Language, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, and Logical Reasoning. The AILET syllabus has been revised due to the change in the exam pattern. Earlier there were 5 sections instead of 3. As per the new pattern, only multiple-choice questions will be asked in the paper. There will be no descriptive questions. Candidates have to answer 150 objective-based questions in 2 hours.
According to the official notification released on 27th May 2024 , the AILET 2025 Exam is scheduled for 8th December 2024 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The entrance exam will be held in pen and paper mode and candidates will be allotted their respective exam centers. The entrance exam will be held for admissions to BA LLB, LLM, and PhD programs at the university. For any further updates, candidates can check out the official website at nludelhi.ac.in. AILET 2025 Syllabus: Highlights

The National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) will conduct the AILET 2025 exam for BA LLAB, LLM, and PhD programs. The exam is scheduled for 8th December 2024 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The syllabus for the three courses are distinctively mentioned in the table below.

AILET 2025 BA LLB Syllabus: Overview

According to the revised exam pattern of the AILET 2025 exam, the duration of the exam has been increased from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. Candidates have to answer 150 questions in 120 minutes in the AILET 2025 BA LLB exam. The total number of sections has been reduced to 3 from 5. There will be no descriptive sections in the new pattern of the exam. Some significant changes are discussed as follows.

1. AILET 2025 BA LLB Exam Sections: The total number of sections has been reduced to 3 from 5. These 3 sections are English Language, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, and Logical Reasoning.

2. AILET 2025 BA LLB Exam duration: The total time allotted to complete the exam has been increased to 120 minutes (2 hours) from 90 minutes. Candidates have to answer 150 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes.

3. AILET 2025 BA LLB Section Weightage: The English Language section will have a total of 50 questions based on grammar and General English. The Current Affairs and General Knowledge section will have a weightage of 30 questions based on prominent national and international news. The Logical Reasoning section has the maximum weightage in the paper. It will have a total of 70 questions based on logical and analytical skills.

As per the revised exam pattern by the NLUD, the AILET 2025 exam for the LLM course will have 100 multiple-choice questions, carrying 1 mark each. The questions will be based on different subjects of law such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, etc. The exam pattern for the AILET 2025 LLM exam is as follows.

AILET LLM Syllabus 2025

The exam pattern and syllabus of the AILET LLM exam have been modified by the NLUD in 2023. Some of the significant changes that have been made to the exam pattern and syllabus are as follows.
  • The AILET LLM exam will not be divided into two sections - Section A and Section B, as it was earlier.
  • There will be 100 multiple-choice questions in the paper.
  • The questions will be based on the concepts and fundamentals of various subjects of the law.
  • The final AILET 2025 merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates.
  • Tie-Breaker Method: If two candidates have scored the same marks, the merit list will be prepared using the tie-breaker method. It includes seniority and computerized draw of lots.

AILET PhD 2025 Exam Details

The AILET PhD 2025 exam will be held in offline mode. Candidates will be allotted exam centers. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions based on the law topics. Each question is given 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates have to answer 100 questions in 120 minutes.
