AILET Eligibility Criteria 2024: The National Law University in Delhi has set the rules for who can take the AILET exam in 2024. They explained these rules in a booklet called the official prospectus. The people in charge of the AILET 2024 exam are from NLU Delhi. If you want to take the AILET exam, you should look at the eligibility criteria first.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Overview

• For the UG program, you only need a 10+2 qualification in any stream with at least 45% marks. On the other hand, for the PG program, you must have an LLB degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Before applying for the exam, candidates should carefully check the AILET Eligibility specific to the course they are interested in.

AILET Eligibility for Educational Qualification

1. Qualification Requirement:
   • Should have passed the higher secondary school exam (10+2) system or an equivalent examination.
   • Minimum aggregate marks required are 45% (40% for reserved categories).
2. Applicants Currently in Class 12:
   • Candidates awaiting their Class 12 results are eligible to apply for and take the AILET Exam.
3. Eligibility Verification:
   • However, the eligibility of such applicants must be confirmed by the cut-off date, which will be announced with the AILET Result.
   • If they are placed in a compartment in the year of admission, they would be considered ineligible, following the official criteria of AILET Eligibility.

AILET Eligibility Criteria: Reservation Policy

• 15% of seats are reserved for the SC (Scheduled Caste) category.
• 7.5% of seats are reserved for the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category.
• 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities on a horizontal basis.

• There is one extra supernumerary seat for Kashmiri migrants.
• Two extra seats are allocated for residents of Jammu and Kashmir, following the official AILET Eligibility details.

AILET Exam Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Candidates must have achieved a score of 65% on the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination, in accordance with AILET Exam Eligibility.
2. Admissions Test Requirement:
   • Foreign nationals are not required to take the admissions test. However, they must adhere to the other AILET Eligibility rules applicable to all candidates.
   • Refer to the AILET Cut Off from the previous year to understand the range of marks required for the final admission round.
3. OCI/PIO Criteria:
   • Candidates falling under the OCI/PIO criteria can apply either under the Foreign National Category or the Indian Student Category, based on AILET Eligibility.
4. Exam Participation for OCI/PIO under Indian National Category:
   • If an OCI/PIO candidate applies under the Indian National category, they must sit for the AILET Exam alongside other students, as per AILET Eligibility.

AILET Eligibility for Application Submission

1. Name of the Candidate:
   • Write your name in 'CAPITAL LETTERS' exactly as it appears on your Class X or equivalent certificate.
2. Email Address/Mobile Number:
   • Provide your correct mobile number and email address, as these will be used for sending communications related to AILET 2024.
3. Name of Father/Mother:
   • Enter the name of your Father or Mother exactly as it appears on your Class X or equivalent certificate, following AILET Eligibility details.
4. Date of Birth:
   • Enter your date, month, and year of birth according to the English calendar and as recorded in your School/Board (Class – X)/Pre-University examination certificate. Check the AILET Answer Key when released to estimate your score.
5. Gender:
   • Select the correct gender option.
6. Center Choice Details:
   • Choose any three centers of your preference in order.
7. Nationality:
   • If you are Indian, choose the option indicated for ―INDIAN. If not, choose the option indicated for ―FOREIGN.
8. Contact and Family Details:
   • Provide accurate contact and family details.
9. Mailing Address:
   • Write your complete mailing address IN CAPITAL LETTERS, including STATE, DISTRICT, CITY, AND PIN CODE. Ensure correct Mobile Numbers and email addresses for parents are entered, as SMS/communication will be sent to these.
10. Academic Qualification:
    • Select your qualifying examinations and fill in the required information. Manually enter Percentage (%) or Grading, following AILET Eligibility criteria.
