CLAT 2026 AIR 200 Shaheer’s Journey with Physics Wallah

For many CLAT aspirants, preparation means balancing academics, mocks, revision, and personal challenges. Shaheer began his CLAT preparation in May 2024 while studying in Class 12, determined to secure a place in a top National Law University (NLU). His journey was driven by consistency, especially in mock tests, which he considered the key to his preparation.

He attempted around 100 mocks and maintained a mistake notebook to track his section-wise scores, time, errors, and areas for improvement. Despite academic responsibilities and personal challenges, Shaheer stayed focused on his goal. His consistent efforts ultimately helped him secure AIR 200 and Jharkhand Rank 3 in CLAT 2026.

Shaheer Started CLAT Preparation With a Clear NLU Goal

Shaheer started preparing for CLAT while continuing Class 12 studies. Balancing school academics with entrance preparation required discipline and consistency.

Talking about the journey, Shaheer said:

“I am currently in 12th grade. I started my preparation for CLAT in May 2024. And my dream was always to go to a big NLU and make my name big.”

After securing the result, the achievement felt almost unreal.

“It feels unreal. Lag raha hai ki hum sapna dekh rahe hain aur abhi uth jayenge.”

For Shaheer, the long-awaited result transformed a dream into reality and opened the way towards studying at one of India's leading law universities.

Shaheer Made Consistency a Part of His CLAT Preparation

When asked about the one principle that helped most during CLAT preparation, Shaheer highlighted consistency, particularly while attempting mocks.

“Consistency and especially consistency in mocks.”

According to Shaheer, mocks provide a realistic understanding of the examination and help aspirants become familiar with the pressure and requirements of the actual CLAT.

Shaheer attempted around 100 mocks during the preparation journey. Regular mock practice helped in understanding performance patterns and identifying areas that needed improvement.

Shaheer Turned Mock Analysis Into a Daily Learning Tool

Mock attempts were only one part of Shaheer’s strategy. The real improvement came from analysing every mock carefully.

Shaheer maintained a separate mistake copy to record performance after each mock. The analysis included the mock name, section-wise scores, time taken, correct and incorrect answers, and areas that required improvement.

Explaining the strategy, Shaheer said:

“Usmein mock ka naam aur section-wise likha rehta tha ki kaisa mera score tha, kitna time maine lagaya tha, kitna sahi, kitna galat hua tha.”

This systematic approach helped identify recurring mistakes and showed exactly where improvement was needed.

Shaheer further explained:

“Usse mere ko idea pata chal jaata tha ki meri kya mistakes nikal ke aa rahi hain.”

Instead of simply looking at the final score, analysing mistakes helped turn every mock into a learning opportunity.

“Attempt Less, But Analyse Properly”

For CLAT 2027 aspirants, Shaheer believes that mock analysis is more important than simply increasing the number of attempts.

“I think the biggest advice I can give is mock analysis. Aap attempt kam karo lekin aap analyse achhe se karo.”

According to Shaheer, attempting a mock without analysing it may not reveal where the preparation is going wrong. A proper review helps aspirants understand their mistakes and avoid repeating them in future mocks.

Shaheer’s strategy was to create a proper table after every mock, covering:

  • Time spent on each section

  • Number of correct answers

  • Number of incorrect answers

  • Overall score

  • Questions answered incorrectly

  • Questions answered correctly

  • Areas requiring improvement

  • Overall impression of the mock

This process made mock-taking more purposeful and helped track progress over time.

Shaheer Balanced CLAT Preparation With Class 12

Shaheer also prepared for CLAT while studying in Class 12, a phase when students often have to manage school examinations and board preparation alongside entrance exams.

Rather than treating academics and CLAT preparation as completely separate responsibilities, Shaheer maintained consistency throughout the preparation journey.

The experience demonstrates that school examinations and CLAT preparation can be managed together with proper planning, regular practice, and disciplined revision.

Overcoming Personal and Emotional Challenges

Shaheer’s journey was not free from difficult circumstances. During the preparation period, Shaheer faced an emotional setback after losing a very close grandmother.

Despite the personal challenge, Shaheer continued working towards the goal and eventually secured a strong CLAT result.

Reflecting on the journey, the family highlighted how Shaheer continued performing well despite the ups and downs that came along the way.

The journey serves as a reminder that aspirants may face academic, emotional, or situational challenges during preparation. What matters is continuing to work towards the goal despite those difficulties.

“This Rank Is the Beginning of the Journey”

The CLAT 2026 result marked an important milestone for Shaheer, but the journey does not end with the entrance examination.

With an AIR 200 and Jharkhand Rank 3, Shaheer is now set to begin the next phase of the journey at a top law university.

The achievement reflects consistent preparation, disciplined mock practice, detailed analysis, and the ability to continue moving forward through challenging circumstances.

How Physics Wallah Supported Shaheer’s CLAT Preparation

Shaheer’s preparation journey was supported through the CLAT preparation ecosystem at Physics Wallah, where the focus was not limited to attempting questions but also included regular practice and performance analysis.

● Building Consistency Through Mocks

Regular mock practice helped Shaheer understand the CLAT exam environment and become familiar with managing time and performance across different sections.

● Learning From Every Mock

Rather than treating mock scores as the outcome, Shaheer analysed each attempt carefully. Maintaining a mistake copy helped identify recurring errors and areas requiring improvement.

● Developing an Analytical Approach

Section-wise analysis of time, correct answers, incorrect answers, and overall performance helped Shaheer understand preparation gaps and make improvements accordingly.

● Staying Consistent Through Challenges

Even while managing Class 12 academics and dealing with personal challenges, Shaheer continued working towards the CLAT goal. Consistency remained the central principle throughout the preparation journey.

Shaheer’s Advice to CLAT 2027 Aspirants

For students preparing for CLAT 2027, Shaheer's biggest recommendation is to focus on mock analysis rather than simply increasing the number of attempts.

“Attempt kam karo lekin analyse achhe se karo.”

Shaheer also recommends regular revision, particularly for General Knowledge (GK), along with continuous learning and practice.

The final message to the next generation of CLAT aspirants was simple:

“All the best, read, learn and most importantly revise, especially in GK.”

Shaheer’s journey from starting CLAT preparation in May 2024 to securing CLAT 2026 AIR 200 and Jharkhand Rank 3 shows how consistency, mock analysis, revision, and determination can turn a long-term goal into an achievement.
