Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board or institution.
Minimum marks required:
• For General / OBC / Others / Persons with Disability: 45% in Class 12 exams
• For SC / ST: 40% in Class 12 exams
Students who are appearing for the Class 12 examination in March/April 2027 should also be eligible to apply. They should provide the proof of passing later.
If a candidate fails to produce a Class 12 passing certificate after admission, their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
There is no upper age limit prescribed for CLAT. As long as the educational qualification is satisfied, a candidate may appear.

CLAT 2027 Application Process for UG courses is as follows:
Registration: Visit the official CLAT / Consortium of NLUs website. Register using a valid mobile number and email address. An OTP (one-time password) is sent to the mobile number for verification.
Login and Fill Form: After registration and verification, log in with your credentials. Fill in the personal details, academic qualifications, choice of NLUs, exam centre preferences, etc.
Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), etc.
Pay Application Fee: Pay the fee as per category (the amounts will be published in the notification). For reference, in the CLAT 2025 notification, the application fees were: General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI : ₹4,000 and for SC / ST / EWS : ₹3,500
Submit and Confirm: Once submitted, no changes are allowed in program, category, BPL status, etc. If discrepancies or mismatches are found (especially in name), candidature may be rejected.
