CLAT 2026 First Seat Allotment Details

The Consortium made the CLAT 2026 first seat allotment accessible online via its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can also view their seat allotment order through their personal login portals.

After checking their allotment, candidates have three options to choose from:

  • Freeze: Selecting this option confirms the allotted NLU and course. The candidate's seat is secured, and they will not participate in further counselling rounds.

  • Float: This choice indicates acceptance of the current seat while also wishing to be considered for a preferred NLU or course in subsequent rounds.

  • Exit: This option means the candidate does not wish to continue with the CLAT 2026 counselling process and withdraws entirely.

Important Guidelines for CLAT 2026 Counselling

Candidates participating in the CLAT 2026 counselling process should adhere to the following guidelines for a smooth experience. These instructions are critical for successful seat allotment and admission.

  • Always log in only through the official CLAT portal; do not depend on unofficial screenshots or forwarded PDF lists.

  • Documents must be uploaded in the specified format and size. Scanned documents lacking clarity may lead to rejection.

  • Once preferences are locked in, they cannot be altered at any point.

  • The options Freeze, Float, and Exit must be chosen within the designated time frame. Failure to do so will result in automatic removal from the process.

  • It is essential to meet the deadlines for both confirmation fees and university fees.

  • Candidates must verify the validity and current status of their category, domicile, and reservation certificates.

  • After each allotment round, review the NLU-specific instructions to avoid missing any campus deadlines.
