Candidate Options Post-Allotment

After a seat is displayed on the dashboard, candidates must choose one of these three options:-

  • Freeze: Select if completely satisfied with the allotted university. Confirms acceptance and removes you from further upgrades
  •  Float: Accept current seat but remain eligible for upgrades to higher-preference NLUs in later rounds (seat secure if no upgrade).
  • Exit: Forfeit seat and exit all further counselling rounds.
Fees Structure
  • Confirmation Fee: Rs 20,000 (mandatory, non-refundable; adjusts against final university tuition fee)
  •  Counselling Fee (already paid): Rs 30,000 (General); Rs 20,000 (SC/ST).
  •  Balance University Fee: Remaining first-year tuition paid directly to allotted NLU by May 2026.
