For MH CET Law 2025, candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate score of 45% in their qualifying examination. There is no upper age limit for applicants. However, MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 is restricted to Indian nationals only. MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 For All India Candidates

Indian nationals who have completed their SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) education from outside Maharashtra are eligible to apply, regardless of their category.

MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 For Minority Candidature

Candidates who have completed their SSC and HSC education from Maharashtra are eligible if they meet one of the following criteria:
  • They are domiciled in Maharashtra, or
  • They were born in Maharashtra and belong to a specific linguistic or religious minority community recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 For NRI Candidates

Non-resident Indian (NRI) candidates are eligible to apply but are not required to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET).

MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 For Foreign Candidates, OCI, or PIO Candidates

Foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to apply and do not need to take the CET.

  • Type C : Candidates whose parent (father or mother) is employed by the Government of India or stationed in Maharashtra State before the last date for submitting the CAP application form.
  • Type D : Candidates whose parent (father or mother) is an employee of the Maharashtra Government or the Government of Maharashtra.
  • Type E : Candidates who have passed their SSC or HSC (or an equivalent examination) from a recognized institution in the Maharashtra-Karnataka border area, and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

MHT CET LAW Eligibility Criteria 2025 Age Limit

Educational Background Must have passed SSC (10th Class) and HSC (12th Class) from a recognized school in Maharashtra State.
Minimum Aggregate Marks 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination (Maharashtra State Candidates).
Out-of-State Candidates SSC and HSC graduates from outside Maharashtra will be considered as Open Category Candidates, regardless of caste/category.
Current Class 12 Students Candidates appearing for Class 12 in the academic year 2017-18 are eligible, provided they achieve the minimum qualifying marks and submit them during the CAP process.
Open University System Students who have completed their board exams through the Open University system without basic formal education are not eligible.
