• For admission to the PhD course, candidates need 55% marks in the AIET (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and specially-abled persons).
• Candidates who have cleared the UGC NET, JRF, CSIR, SLET, GATE, and M.Phil can directly submit their preliminary proposal without appearing for the AIET. A judge who has served for a minimum of 3 years as a Judge of the High Court in India or a Judge of the Supreme Court of India is also allowed to skip the written test.
• Candidates have to submit a preliminary proposal after clearing the written test.
• The preliminary proposal (both in soft and hard copy) must be within 1500 words indicating the hypothesis, statement of the problem, research outlines, probable outcomes of the research, proposed research methodology, survey of literature, and questions based on research.
• The Research Committee will have an interaction session with the shortlisted candidates based on the preliminary proposal.
• Candidates who successfully interact with the Research Committee on the preliminary proposal will be shortlisted for provisional admission to PhD program at the university.
• To confirm the admission, candidates need to pay the admission fee and complete the formalities. The final admission is based on the candidate's performance in the AIET test, interaction with the Research Committee on the preliminary proposal, and presentation of the report in front of the committee.
