  • Submission of Application Fee and Uploading Necessary Documents

Candidates must pay the application fee, which varies by category. General category candidates will need to pay Rs. 2,500, while SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS categories are required to pay Rs. 2,000. The last date for application and fee payment is March 30, 2025. During the application process, candidates must upload the necessary documents and ensure all information is accurate before final submission.

  • Examination & Evaluation

The NLSAT 2025 exam is scheduled for April 27, 2025, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. The examination is a two-part process, with candidates required to qualify in both sections. Part A is an objective section, and Part B is a descriptive component. The selection criteria differ by category: general and EWS candidates must score above the 75th percentile, while SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD candidates must score above the 40th percentile.

  • Final Selection Process

Following the written examination, successful candidates will be called for a personal interview, which carries 10 marks. The final admission list will be published tentatively in the first week of June 2025, based on the combined scores of the written examination and interview. The university will select candidates in a 1:5 ratio, meaning five candidates will be evaluated for each available seat. The academic year will commence on 1st July 2025, offering 120 seats across its programs.

NLSAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The NLSAT 2025 eligibility criteria require candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized national or international university. General category candidates must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks, while SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PWD, and EWS categories require a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible, with final admission applicable upon successful degree completion by December 31, 2025. There is no specific age limit for appearing in the NLSAT 2025 examination.

NLSAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The NLSAT 2025 exam will be held in offline mode, consisting of two parts namely Part A and B. Part A comprises 75 multiple-choice questions across comprehension, current affairs, and critical reasoning sections, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers. Part B includes 10 short descriptive questions and one essay question, totaling 150 marks and spanning 150 minutes, designed to assess candidates' legal aptitude and analytical abilities. The questions will be asked only in English Language.
