What is PU UGLAW?

PU UGLAW is a written exam conducted by the Panjab University for admission into its 5-year integrated law programs: BA LLB (Hons.) and BCom LLB (Hons.). The exam is held annually in offline mode and assesses candidates on General Knowledge, Aptitude for Law, Mental Ability, and English Language. The entrance exam is held at Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana. Candidates who clear the exam are shortlisted for the offline counselling, where final admissions are based on a merit list combining entrance test scores and qualifying exam marks.

PU UGLAW 2025 Application Form 

PU UGLAW 2025 Application Form is currently available on the official website for candidates seeking admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) and BCom LLB (Hons.) programs at Panjab University. The deadline for the application process is 9th April 2025.  To complete the application, candidates must register, pay the application fee, and submit necessary documents. Candidates can submit the application fee online or via a bank challan at any State Bank of India branch before the deadline of April 11, 2025. For general category applicants, the fee is set at INR 2,175, while SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to pay a reduced fee of INR 1,355.

PU UGLAW 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to secure a seat in the constituent colleges of PUCHD through PU UG Law. 

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their Class 12 examination from a recognized board under the pattern of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent recognized Board/University/Council with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category. For SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates, the minimum required percentage is 45%.
• Age Limit: There are no upper or lower age limits set for admission to the undergraduate law courses as per the Bar Council of India guidelines.
• Qualifying Examination: Candidates who are currently appearing for their final Class 12 exams are also eligible to apply, provided they can furnish proof of qualification at the time of counselling.

PU UGLAW 2025 Exam Pattern

The PU UGLAW 2025 exam pattern is designed to assess candidates' knowledge and aptitude for law through a structured format. The following are some important points related to the PU UGLAW 2025 Exam Pattern. 

• The exam will be conducted offline.
• It will include 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into four sections: General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Aptitude for Law, Mental Ability, and English Language. 
• Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
• Each correct answer will be awarded one mark and a penalty of 0.25 marks will be imposed for incorrect answers.
• The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, except for the English Language section, which will be in English only.

PU UGLAW 2025 Answer Keys & Question Papers

PU UGLAW 2025 Answer Keys & Question Papers will be provided on the official website of the University at exams.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php. The answer key will be provided in the PDF Format and allows candidates to check their performances in the exam. After the release, candidates will have the opportunity to submit objections regarding any discrepancies in the answer key. The final answer key will be published after reviewing these objections. 

The University also published the PU UGLAW Question Papers along with the answer keys. The question papers will be uploaded in the PDF format at exams.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php. Candidates can download the question papers and recheck their answers. 

PU UGLAW 2025 Result

The PU UGLAW 2025 results will be announced on May 16, 2025. Candidates can download the results from the official Panjab University website,using their roll numbers. The result will provide details related to their scores and qualifying status. 

However, if candidates wish to verify their results, they have to pay INR 10,000/- to get a photocopy of their answer sheet after the result declaration. For verification the University will take 3 days and if any discrepancy is found, the result will be revised accordingly and the verification fee will be refunded. 

PU UGLAW 2025 Merit List

The university will publish a preliminary merit list based solely on candidates' scores from the entrance exam held on April 27, 2025. Following this, a final merit list will be created, which will consider both the entrance test scores and the candidates' marks in their qualifying examinations, each contributing 50% to the overall ranking. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible to proceed with the admission process, which includes completing necessary formalities and fee payments.

PU UGLAW 2025 Cutoff

The PU UGLAW 2025 cutoff marks represent the minimum scores required for candidates to qualify for admission into the BA LLB and BCom LLB programs.
