SLAT 2026 Exam Pattern

SLAT 2026 exam Pattern is released by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) on the official website at www.slat-test.org. SLAT 2026 will have 60 multiple-choice questions divided into five parts, namely, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Each part has 12 questions, and the total marks are 60. There’s no negative marking for wrong answers, and the exam lasts for 60 minutes.  

SLAT 2026 will be conducted in two slots in online mode. It is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to BA LLB or BBA LLB courses.

SLAT Components 2026

Based on the SLAT components 2026, candidates will be admitted to a Symbiosis Law School. These components are explained below. 

1. SLAT

  • It is the first component of the SLAT entrance exam and will be held in computer-based mode. 
  • SLAT marks are scaled to 70 even though the tool marks are 60. 
  • Total weightage of SLAT is 70. 

2. SLAT PI

  • SLAT PI, or SLAT Personal Interview, is an important part of the admission process. Candidates are evaluated on their personality and readiness to study law. 
  • This interview helps the panel understand your aptitude and suitability for a legal career. 
  • The personal interview carries a weightage of 30 marks in the overall selection.

 For admission to the 5-year LLB program, the final selection is based on the combined scores of the SLAT exam and the Personal Interview. The exam carries 70 marks, and the interview adds 30 marks, making a total of 100 marks that determine your overall ranking.
