TNNLU : TNNLU was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Act of State Legislature on 13th February 2012 . Tamil Nadu National Law University is the contrivance of the former Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. J Jayalalithaa. The university offers various law programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.

How to Apply for TNNLU Admission 2024?

• Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria stated by the university. Refer to the official website of the CLAT to read the eligibility criteria in detail.
• Click on the "Apply Online" option.
• Fill out the application form with the correct credentials and upload the mandatory documents.
• Submit the form after cross-checking your details.
• Pay the application fee. The application fee for the general category is INR 4,000/- while for reserved categories it is INR 3000/-.
• You can pay the application fee through Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card.
• Keep a copy of the payment receipt for future reference.

TNNLU BA.LLB and B.Com-LLB Admission

• First and foremost, candidates have to fulfill the TNNLU eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses.
• Candidates have to appear for the CLAT UG entrance exam and obtain valid results.
• Candidates who clear the CLAT UG exam with marks above cut-off, proceed with the counseling process.
• Candidates have to select TNNLU as their first preference during choice filling.
• To confirm their seats, candidates have to pay the admission fee and complete the admission formalities.

TNNLU BA.LLB and B.Com-LLB Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the UG programs at TNNLU, candidates have to pass the class 12th examination or equivalent examination with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for reserved category) from a recognized board. The admission is primarily based on the CLAT UG entrance exam scorecard. Candidates have to obtain valid results in the CLAT exam to apply for admission at TNNLU.

TNNLU LLM Admission

TNNLU offers three postgraduate programs namely, LLM Corporate and Securities Law, LLM Intellectual Property Law, and LLM Natural Resources Law for 1 year. The university has a total of 20 seats for the PG programs across all specializations. The TNNLU LLM admission process involves the following steps.

• Candidates must read the eligibility criteria for TNNLU LLM admission.
• Eligible candidates must register and appear for the CLAT PG entrance exam.
• The cut-off list is announced after the declaration of CLAT PG results.
• Candidates who meet the CLAT cut-off proceed with the counseling process.
• TNNLU LLM admissions are based on the candidate's performance in the CLAT PG entrance exam.
• Final admission is confirmed after document verification and payment of the admission fee.

TNNLU LLM Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the TNNLU LLM program, candidates must have a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree or its equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category) from a recognized university. Candidates also have to appear for the CLAT PG entrance exam and obtain valid results for admission to PG programs at Tamil Nadu National Law University.
