Not all registered applicants can enter web choices immediately. Access to the choice filling portal depends on document verification status:
Verified Candidates: Candidates whose documents have been verified online without any discrepancies can log in and exercise choices directly.
Correction Required: Candidates whose application displays missing or incorrect documents must visit a designated Help Line Centre (HLC) with original certificates and photocopies for manual clearance.
Special Category Candidates: Candidates under PH, NCC, CAP, or Sports quotas must visit HLCs for physical verification before web options open for their login.
Ineligible Status: Candidates marked "Ineligible" in the candidate login system cannot participate in the choice filling process.
Follow these steps to complete the web option entry process on the official portal:
Visit Official Website: Open cap.apcfss.in on a desktop browser.
Download College Manual: Download the master list of available colleges, branch codes, and districts.
Prepare Paper List: Draft a physical list of colleges and courses in order of personal priority.
Candidate Login: Click on "Candidate Login" and log in using your AP ICET hall ticket number and password.
Select Options: Choose your preferred institutes and academic branches from the district-wise selection interface.
Arrange Priority: Rearrange choices so your most preferred college appears at the top.
Save & Print: Save your selections. Take a printout of the saved web options for your records.
Important guidelines for options entry are provided below:
Use Desktop System: Fill choices using a desktop computer or laptop instead of a mobile phone to prevent input errors or session timeouts.
Maximize Choices: Fill out maximum possible choices without restricting your list to 2-3 colleges. Filling more choices increases the probability of seat allotment.
Keep Mobile Active: Keep your registered phone number functional to receive One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and allotment notifications.
Internet Centre Security: If exercising options at a public cyber cafe, clear browser cache and log out of your session properly.
Option Editing Window: If you need to revise choices after saving, use the single-day modification facility on September 3, 2026.
A total of 344 institutes are offering management and computer application seats in Phase 1.
Total Participating Institutes: 344
Andhra University (AU) Region: 204 colleges
Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Region: 131 colleges
Statewide (SW) Region: 9 colleges

Rank 1,000 to 5,000: Analyze previous years' closing ranks for top-tier private and affiliated colleges before submitting preferences.
Rank 5,000 to 15,000: Mix mid-tier private institutes with high-intake regional colleges to balance risk.
Rank Above 15,000: Focus on private institutions with historically higher closing ranks and select multiple options across different districts.
Seat allotment results scheduled for September 7, 2026, will depend on multiple parameters:
