The 'Income and Asset Certificate' can be issued by the following competent authorities:- District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commissioner.
- Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/Presidency Magistrate.
- Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
- Sub-Divisional Officer in the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.
CAT Reservation Criteria for PwD Candidates
CAT reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) includes individuals with a benchmark disability of 40% or more, as specified by the RPwD (Rights of Persons with Disabilities) Act 2016. The disabilities covered under this act are:- Blindness and low vision
- Deaf and hard of hearing
- Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy
- Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness
- Multiple disabilities from among persons under clauses (1) to (4)
- Other 'specified disabilities' mentioned in 'The Schedule' of the RPwD Act 2016
