IIM Jammu Admission Process: Admissions to IIM Jammu’s flagship MBA/PGP program are based on CAT scores. Candidates who meet the CAT cut-off set by the institute need to appear for the PI round through the CAP process. During the PI round, candidates are evaluated on various parameters, including communication skills, leadership ability, Decision making, and overall personality.
Following the completion of the interview stage, IIM Jammu compiles the final merit list based on CAT scores, PI performance, academic profile, reservation, and work experience. Successful candidates receive admission offers from the institute. Selected applicants must then complete the fee payment and document verification to confirm their enrollment.
To fill all the seats in the MBA batch, IIM Jammu releases a waitlist. Candidates on the waitlist are offered seats if the initially selected candidates decline the admission offer. To remain updated about IIM Jammu waitlist movement, candidates must visit the official website and check their registered email ID.

The IIM Jammu Admission Committee determines the number of candidates to be called for the Personal Interview (PI) based on predefined category-wise criteria. If the initial shortlisting yields fewer candidates than required, the institute may reduce both overall and sectional cut-off scores to select an adequate number of participants in the PI process.
After the PI round and final result is released. Applicants who are extended an admission offer must confirm their acceptance within the stipulated deadline by paying INR 50,000 as the offer acceptance fee.
After the payment of the acceptance fee, candidates have the option to withdraw their admissions. Those who withdraw the admission get a refund based on the timeline of their withdrawal.
If candidates withdraw their admission before the official withdrawal deadline, the paid amount will be refunded after deducting INR 1,000 as processing charges. However, candidates won’t receive any refund if the withdrawals are made after the specified deadline set by the institute.
For the 2025 academic year, IIM Jammu reserves 15% of its total intake for international candidates and overseas Indians. However, the institute may choose to admit a lesser number of candidates based on their profile and other selection criteria.
To be eligible, FC or OIC applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale. Additionally, they should have a GMAT score of 650 or higher.
