IIM Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, together with The Company of Master Mariners of India (CMMI), has started a new Executive MBA program. This program focuses on Maritime, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. It is a two-year course that aims to fill the gap of skilled business leaders in the industry, which is worth $450 billion.

IIM Mumbai has recently started an Executive MBA in Maritime Management, adding an important new program to its executive courses. This new program aims to meet the increasing demand for skilled leaders in the maritime and logistics sectors as global trade continues to grow and change. The Executive MBA in Maritime Management is created for professionals in the maritime industry. It offers a detailed curriculum covering key areas of maritime operations, logistics, and supply chain management. At a launch event in Mumbai on September 2, Captain M.P. Bhasin, Chairman of CMMI, highlighted that India previously lacked an Executive MBA combining logistics and supply chain management with maritime expertise. “This MBA programme is a crucial step in improving maritime education and management standards in India,” Captain Bhasin said. The Executive MBA consists of 80% online learning and 20% offline sessions, designed for middle and senior-level professionals. IIM Mumbai will award the degree. Eligibility requirements are:- Mariners: Graduation degree plus three years of sailing experience.
- Non-mariners: Graduation plus five years of work experience.
