
The registration window for MAT 2025 closes today. Eligible candidates can submit the application for the computer-based test (CBT) up to 11:55 pm through the official AIMA MAT portal. Aspirants planning to take the exam this year must first create an online account and then complete the application process. The MAT CBT for the December 2025 session is scheduled to be conducted on December 21, 2025. The next phase of registrations will reopen in January 2026.
The admit card for the MAT December 2025 CBT will be released on December 18, 2025, for candidates who have successfully registered.
Applicants who have registered earlier can log in directly and proceed with the MAT 2025 application. New candidates need to follow these steps:
Visit the official AIMA MAT website
Click on the ‘Register’ option and provide the required details
Verify the registration using the OTP sent to the registered email ID
Log in using the credentials provided
Upload a recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature
Choose up to five preferred MBA institutes
Pay the application fee online using debit card, credit card, or net banking
Enter academic and other necessary details and submit the form
Graduates from any recognised discipline are eligible to apply for the MAT December 2025 examination. Candidates currently in the final year of their undergraduate programme are also allowed to register, as per AIMA guidelines.
The application fee for the MAT December 2025 CBT is Rs 2,200. Candidates who have already applied for the paper-based test (PBT) can opt for the CBT by paying a concessional fee of Rs 1,600.
The MAT exam comprises five sections, with 30 questions in each section, taking the total to 150 questions. The duration of the test is 120 minutes. Each correct answer carries one mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
The MAT December 2025 computer-based test will be conducted in approximately 45 cities across India. Scores from MAT are accepted by more than 600 management institutes nationwide for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes. These include Vellore Institute of Technology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), NIT Surathkal, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Amrita School of Business, N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Birla Institute of Management Technology, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lovely Professional University, Calcutta Business School, and several others.
