MAT Exam 2024

The MAT 2024 registration process for the May 2024 phase will begin shortly. MAT, which is conducted in Computer-Based Testing (CBT), Paper-Based Testing (PBT), and Internet-Based Testing (IBT) modes, offers candidates the opportunity to choose their preferred mode. Interested candidates can complete the application process online through the official AIMA MAT website. To fill out the MAT application form, candidates will need to create a login ID.

Those who have previously taken the MAT exam can use their existing ID to complete the application process again. The results for the MAT 2024 February phase are expected to be announced by the last week of March 2024.

What is MAT Exam 2024

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA). It serves as a gateway for admissions into MBA/PGDM programs at over 800 B-schools across India. The MAT exam is conducted in multiple sessions held in four phases throughout the year: February, May, September, and December. The MAT exam is available in three modes: offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT), and remote proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT). While the exam fees, pattern, and syllabus remain consistent across all modes, the admit card and exam dates vary. Candidates have the flexibility to attempt the exam multiple times in their preferred mode, but they must register separately for each session.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

The AIMA requires candidates to meet all the minimum eligibility criteria for the MAT exam. Admit cards are issued to only those candidates who upload all the supporting documents for the eligibility requirements. MAT eligibility includes the following:
  • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Students in the final year of their college can also apply for the MAT exam.
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of 3 years of bachelor's degree program.

MAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The MAT 2024 examination will be conducted in both online and offline modes. Candidates have the flexibility to choose one or more modes for the MAT exam. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the exam structure, including the marking scheme, duration, and question types, applicants must review the detailed exam pattern. Irrespective of the MAT format, the exam pattern remains consistent. The total duration of the MAT exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). Additionally, there are 5 sections comprising 40 questions each. The marking pattern for allots is +1 mark for right answers and -0.25 for wrong answers. MAT Selection Process 2024

Candidates who secure above the minimum cutoff marks of their preferred college are called to participate in the next round of the selection process. The typical MAT selection process comprises:
