Admission to MICA’s PGDM program comprises multiple stages. The selection process evaluates candidates through various parameters. For admission to MICA, candidates can use their CAT, GMAT, or XAT scores, and performance in MICAT.
The MICAT exam comprises three sections:
Psychometric Test – This test serves as a qualifying round but is not considered to be on the merit list.
Aptitude Test – Candidates who clear Section A need to meet the CAT, XAT, or GMAT cut-off set by MICA to proceed to this stage. Candidates who fulfil the cut-off requirements of CAT/XAT/GMAT have their MICAT section B score evaluated. Further, Section C scores are considered for those who clear the Section B cut-off. A separate cut-off will be applied to each section.
GE/PI Evaluation: Candidates who meet the minimum required scores in Sections A, B, and C will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. These rounds will take place in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
MICA will create the final merit list by considering candidates' performance across various selection stages. Each stage carries a specific weightage as follows:

Following the completion of the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds in March 2025, MICA will release the MICAT 2025 final merit list. It is expected that the MICAT final merit list 2025 will be released in the first week of April. The final selection is determined based on a candidate’s MICAT score, psychometric test performance, GD, and PI results.
Candidates who secure admission to their first-choice program will not be considered for their second-choice program. However, if admission is granted to the second-choice program, candidates have two options:
Accept the offer and enrol, which will remove them from the first-choice program.
Decline the offer and remain on the waiting list for their preferred program.
