XAT 2025: XLRI Jamshedpur announced on November 28, 2024, that candidates can use scientific calculators during the XAT 2025 exam . You can now use an on-screen scientific calculator during the XAT exam, just like in the CAT exam. Until last year, the XAT exam did not allow calculators, but this rule has changed for 2025.
Note: This new feature will make calculations easier and help you manage your time better during the exam. XAT 2025 exam, scheduled for January 5, 2025, will have two parts: a 170-minute section covering Decision Making, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Ability, followed by a 10-minute General Knowledge section. XLRI has announced that candidates can use a scientific-calculator in XAT exam 2025. This is great news for aspirants, as the Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation sections involve many calculations. From this year, candidates won’t need to depend only on rough sheets or mental math to solve these questions. However, apart from the scientific-calculator, no other gadgets will be allowed during the exam. XAT 2025 exam will take place on January 5, 2025, and the last date to register is November 30, 2025. If you haven’t registered yet, make sure to complete the process before the deadline. This year, XLRI has made some important changes to the exam. The essay writing section has been removed, and the number of GK questions has been reduced to 20. Changes in Exam Structure
In addition to allowing scientific calculators, XLRI has implemented other changes for XAT 2025:- Exam Duration : The total duration of the exam has been reduced from 210 minutes to 180 minutes, with Part 1 (Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning) lasting 170 minutes and Part 2 (General Knowledge) lasting just 10 minutes.
- Revised Question Distribution : The number of questions in the General Knowledge section has been reduced from 25 to 20. Additionally, the essay writing component has been removed from the written test and will now be part of the personal interview process for shortlisted candidates.
