TANCET Tie-Breaking Criteria
In the TANCET exam, it's possible for two or more candidates to have the same percentile score. In such cases, the Department of Technical Education (DTE) follows specific criteria to determine rankings before the TANCET counseling process. When candidates share an equal percentile score, the following criteria are used to allot TANCET ranks:- The candidate with a higher average percentage from the first semester/year to the (N-1)th semester/year in the qualifying degree exam is given priority. Here, N represents the total number of semesters/years in the qualifying exam.
- If the tie persists, preference is given to the candidate who is older based on the birth date mentioned in the SSLC certificate.
