TS ICET 2026 Spot Admission: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Telangana, has announced the official guidelines and schedule for the institutional spot admission round for TG ICET 2026. This admission phase aims to fill remaining vacant seats in Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs across private unaided and university constituent colleges. Candidates interested in securing a seat through this round must approach the Principal of their chosen institute directly. 

The spot admission process operates on an institutional level and allows both TG ICET-qualified and non-qualified applicants to seek entry based on merit and seat availability.

TS ICET 2026 Spot Admission Schedule Out

The Telangana Council of Higher  Education (TGCHE), through the Department of Technical Education, Telangana, has released the spot admission guidelines for MBA and MCA vacant seats in university and private unaided colleges on 24 August 2026. This round is meant to fill seats that remain vacant after the first phase and final phase of TG ICET 2026 counselling. Candidates who qualified for TG ICET 2026 get first priority; if seats still remain vacant, colleges may consider other eligible candidates.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Telangana, publishes the institutional spot admission vacancy details for TGICET (TS ICET) 2026 on the official portal, tgicet.nic.in.Vacancy details will be published college-wise, course-wise and category-wise on 27 August 2026.

Spot admissions take place at participating institutions, giving priority to qualified TGICET candidates before offering remaining vacancies to eligible non-rank holders.

How to Apply for TS ICET Institutional Spot Admission

Follow these steps to seek spot admission at participating colleges:

1. Visit the official portal (tgicet.nic.in) on or after August 27, 2026, to check college-wise vacancy lists.

2. Identify target institutes that have vacant seats in your preferred program (MBA or MCA).

3. Contact or physically visit the college campus between August 31 and September 3, 2026.

4. Submit the spot admission application along with required original documents and photocopies.

5. Complete document verification and pay the applicable spot admission fee and tuition fee to confirm seat allotment.

Candidates securing admission through institutional spot counselling are not eligible for the Telangana state fee reimbursement scheme, regardless of their category or financial status. Admitted candidates must bear the full college tuition fee as prescribed by the institution.

Applicants must fulfil specific eligibility criteria set by DTE Telangana to qualify for institutional spot seats:

• Priority Allotment: TG ICET 2026 rank holders will be given first priority during seat allocation.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates must hold a recognised Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years' duration.

• Minimum Marks (Open Category): A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying undergraduate degree.

• Minimum Marks (Reserved Categories): A minimum of 45% aggregate marks for BC, SC, and ST applicants.

• Non-Qualified Candidates: If seats remain vacant after catering to rank holders, candidates who did not qualify or appear for TG ICET 2026 can be considered based on degree marks.

• Outside State Degrees: Candidates who passed their qualifying examination from universities outside Telangana must produce an Equivalency Certificate issued by a recognised university in Telangana.

Documents Required for Spot Counselling

Candidates must present all original documents for physical verification at the time of spot admission. The required documents include:

1. Original SSC Marks Memo / Date of Birth Certificate

2. Original Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent Marks Memo

3. Original Qualifying Degree Marks Memo & Consolidated Marks Sheet

4. Original Study / Bonafide Certificates (from Class 9 to Graduation)

5. TG ICET 2026 Rank Card (if qualified)

6. Equivalency Certificate (for candidates with degrees from outside Telangana)

7. Integrated Caste Certificate (if applicable)

8. Residence Certificate / Domicile Proof (if applicable)

9. Original Transfer Certificate (T.C.)

Note: Original certificates will be returned to the candidate immediately after physical verification, except for the original Transfer Certificate (T.C.) and one set of self-attested photocopies, which must be submitted to the college.
