XAT 2026 Exam is set to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on January 4, 2026. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode in the designated test centers of over 70 cities all across the country. The application process for XAT 2026 has started on 10th July 2025. It is a pan-India MBA entrance exam to get admission into XLRI and 800 B-Schools in India. Candidates who are preparing to appear for the exam must have all the knowledge regarding the exam.

The minimum eligibility for candidates to appear for the XAT 2026 Exam is a Graduation, as it is a PG course entrance exam. Candidates are also required to adhere to some of the other XAT Eligibility Criteria 2026. Some of them include:
XAT 2026 appearing candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of a minimum three-year duration or equivalent in any discipline from a UGC recognized university.
Final year graduation students are also eligible to appear for the XAT exam.
There is no minimum score requirement for XAT, but for the MBA course, candidates need to have a minimum of 50 percent for the General category and 45 percent for the Reserved category.
The registration is started on 11th July 2025 for XAT Exam 2026. The Registration Process for XAT 2026 is to be done by candidates online. To start with, aspirants will have to first fill out the XAT form by creating an account on the exam website. Candidates can also follow the steps below to register for XAT 2026:
Step 1: Visit the XAT 2026 website in a new window: https://xatonline.in/
Step 2: Click on the 'Registration' tab
Step 3: Enter basic details to create a login. A unique XAT ID and registration link will be shared in the registered email ID.
Step 4: Click on the link to verify your registration
Step 5: Go to the XAT login dashboard and click on the XAT 2026 application form
Step 6: Enter all the details asked in the form and upload a photo and your signature
Step 7: Review the information filled in.
Step 8: Pay the XAT application fee via credit/debit card, UPI or net banking
The Exam for XAT 2026 will include questions from different sections, including Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal & Logical Ability and General Knowledge.
