Time-Bound Sections in FMGE
The FMGE exam paper is divided into multiple time-bound sections within each part. For instance, if each part of the paper has three sections (Section A, B, and C), each section would consist of 50 questions , with 50 minutes allocated to complete the section. Candidates are not allowed to move to the next section until the time for the current section is completed.- Once the allotted time for a section ends, the candidates are automatically moved to the next section .
- Candidates cannot review or modify their responses once the time for a section has ended.
FMGE Negative Marking
One of the relieving aspects of the FMGE is that there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. This allows candidates to attempt all questions without the fear of losing marks for wrong responses.FMGE Qualifying Criteria
To qualify in the FMGE, a candidate must secure a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 . The results, indicating whether a candidate has passed or failed, will be displayed on the NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences) website. It is important to note that:- No re-evaluation or re-totaling is allowed.
- There is no provision for grace marks .
FMGE Number of Attempts and Retake Policy for FMGE Exam
Candidates are allowed unlimited attempts to pass the FMGE. However, once a candidate qualifies, they are not allowed to take the FMGE again . Any attempt to retake the exam after qualifying will result in the attempt being declared void. The FMGE is a critical step for foreign medical graduates to practice in India.
