NEET PG 2024: Today, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG. The first shift of the exam began around 9 AM. The exam is being held in two shifts on the same day and is conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. The difficulty level of the first shift was moderate, and the second shift was also moderate to difficult. Based on student reactions, it appears that the cutoff may be higher this time.

The NEET-PG entrance examination is scheduled for August 11, with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences announcing the revised date on Friday. As per the NBEMS notice dated June 22, 2024, the NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled to August 11, 2024, to be conducted in two shifts. The eligibility cut-off date for appearing in NEET-PG 2024 remains August 15, 2024," stated the board in an official notification.

Recently, officials from the Ministry of Health and NBEMS reviewed the NEET PG exam process. According to sources from PTI, a meeting was held to assess the robustness of the exam conducting system, and the new exam date will depend on the availability of exam centers.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the revised date for the NEET PG 2024 examination to be conducted on August 11, 2024.

Abhijat Sheth, speaking to ANI, stated, "The integrity of the NEET PG exam has never been in question. Over the last seven years, we have successfully conducted the exam. However, recent events have raised concerns among student communities regarding exam security. In response, the government has decided to review SOPs and protocols promptly. We will announce the next scheduled date within a week."

Additionally, regarding the advisory cautioning against social media misinformation and fraudsters, Ministry of Health and NBEMS explained "The issuance of these warnings was a protective measure. That's why they released the SOPs before the examination. In today's expansive realm of social media, perceptions can be misleading. It's crucial for students to stay on the correct path, which is why they emphasized this."

NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern

The examination comprises 200 multiple-choice questions, each offering four response options. Candidates are required to select the correct, optimal, or most suitable answer from the provided choices. The exam extends over a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Regarding scoring:

• Correct responses are awarded 4 marks.
• Incorrect answers incur a penalty of 1 mark.
• There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
